Joined the faculty in 2002. Received A.B. from Bowdoin College, M.S. from Northeastern University and Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts Lowell. Teaching interests include biochemistry, analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. She is a pioneer in using the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) in college biochemistry courses, and is among a growing trend of professors nationwide to use the method in foundation chemistry classes. Research interests are in analyzing the interaction of organic pollutants with humic substances using spectrofluorometric techniques.
