Join us for an Academic Adventure
The Colby-Sawyer experience is more than lectures, classrooms and textbooks—it’s an academic adventure. We approach the liberal arts and sciences as a hands-on, multidisciplinary journey that includes a required internship and professional experience that prepares you for a career or graduate school. You’ll learn from professors who are scholars, researchers, artists, writers, medical practitioners and business leaders who love teaching undergraduates. And, with an average class size of 13 students, your professors will know you. They will be there as you develop your unique voice, find your strengths, and become a confident, successful individual.
The Harrington Center for Experiential Learning is your resource for academic advising, internships and career development.
100% of our students complete an internship, and 34% of our graduates are hired by their internship sites.
97% of our graduates are either employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of commencement.
Why a Liberal Arts Education?
Learning across disciplines exposes you to ideas, topics and issues that you may not have the opportunity to consider. English majors can understand the solar system; athletic training students can appreciate marine life; environmental science graduates can analyze art; and business scholars can draw on philosophy for ethical decision making.
Our graduates demonstrate strong thinking skills, empowered learning and intellectual curiosity. They are successful professionals and positive contributors to their communities.
1,205 undergraduates from 29 states and 33 foreign countries; student faculty ratio: 12 : 1 with an average class size of 13; student population of 32% men and 68% women
Colby-Sawyer offers pre-professional programs for students interested in pursuing advanced degrees in law, medicine, veterinary medicine and physical therapy. Taken in conjunction with a selected major, our curriculum prepares you with a strong foundation for law school or health-related professional programs.
