What do you like about the area?
As I spent my four years of college here at Colby-Sawyer College, I enjoy and like various aspects of this community. It is very nice that we can enjoy every season either going for kayaking, hiking, enjoying the natural view or enjoying the snowfall with skiing and other activities. Another important feature of the town is the close community where everyone tries to help each other. I like the lakes around the region, where we can go sit on the beach and relax or go for a swim. If we look around, New London has many things to offer for us or for any visitors.

What advice can you give a student about the college search process?
This is one of the big decisions in your life. There are families and friends helping you to find a perfect match but it is your decision and you are the one that is going to college. Therefore, visit a campus, take a tour, have conversations with current students and faculty members. If you talk and ask more questions, you will get a bigger and better picture about your choice. Establish a connection with the admissions staff and get as much information as you need. This will definitely help you to find a perfect college for you where you will make friends and enjoy and more importantly you will develop a wide spectrum of knowledge.

What is your favorite part of campus?
Although I like many places on campus, I like the library and Lethbridge Lodge most. The library helps to motivate students to study either course material or other sorts of books. The resources available are very good and everyone is eager to help each other. As a student, I spent many hours in the library writing my papers and studying as a group for tests.

I like the social atmosphere at the Lodge. The game room with the television (to watch major sporting events and movies), XM radio and obviously the pool table and ping-pong are my favorite parts. Relaxing and socializing with friends helps to ease the pressure from college work for students. And the best part is the snack bar, where you get awesome variety of food. I worked at the Lodge as a student, so it is a place with special meaning for me.

Something about myself:
I am from Nepal and as an international student at Colby-Sawyer College majored in Business Administration. My involvement with SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) has helped me to apply the concepts I learned in classroom to help the community. I enjoy watching and playing games especially basketball, tennis and soccer. I like to travel to new places and right now I am going to different places within the United States.
