Meet President Stuebner

When Susan D. Stuebner, Ed.D., talks about the impact of higher education — especially the transformation that students can experience in their time at a small, liberal arts-based college like Colby-Sawyer — she gets actual goose bumps. The 45-year-old Minnesota native, who was unanimously appointed Colby-Sawyer’s ninth president by the Board of Trustees in March to succeed Thomas C. Galligan Jr., has dedicated her career to higher education. Read more>>

Welcome to the Class of 2020

Colby-Sawyer welcomed 297 new students to campus, including first-year students, transfers and the college’s first cohort of graduate students set to earn a master’s of science in nursing. The college’s total student population is 1,042. The 282 members of the Class of 2020 begin college with an average high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.3, a slight increase over last year’s incoming class and higher than the nation’s 3.0 average.  Read more>>

Class of 2015 Finds Success

Colby-Sawyer’s Class of 2015 is finding professional and continued academic success, according to a report on graduate outcomes released by the college’s Harrington Center for Experiential Learning. Six months after graduation, 92% of the responding class members were either employed or pursuing graduate studies. Of those employed, 87% report working in a job related to their major; 39% received a job offer from their internship site. Read more>>

Athletic Trainers Give 100%

One hundred percent of Colby-Sawyer’s 2016 athletic training graduates who sat for the Board of Certification passed on their first attempt. By comparison, the 2015 national first-time pass average among bachelor’s degree candidates was 77 percent. Read more>>
