The Dance Program at Colby-Sawyer College offers multi-level instruction in ballet, modern, jazz and choreography, as well as performance and repertory. Students are encouraged in a safe and nurturing environment not only to further their technical ability and understanding of dance history, but to artistically and creatively break through the walls of their personal comfort zones in order to grow as dancers and artists.

The Colby-Sawyer College Dance Club is a student organization that produces one show each semester. A variety of styles and techniques are showcased in pieces choreographed by students.

Music appreciation and a variety of applied music activities are open to all students: applied lessons, music master classes, and performance ensemble work. Credit is given for piano, voice or other applied music, subject to approval by the department.

The Colby-Sawyer College Singers is open to all members of the student body as an opportunity for musical expression. The chorus presents performances of choral literature ranging from madrigals and choral masterworks to folk songs, contemporary music, and excerpts from musicals.

Courses are offered in acting, directing and stagecraft, as well as in performing arts history.

The Colby-Sawyer Players, a student organization, gives all students opportunities for involvement with theatrical productions. The Colby-Sawyer Players offers the campus community a small-scale theatrical production each year in either the fall or spring semester. The organization provides students with the opportunity to discuss theatre with other students who appreciate the performing arts and to promote theatre appreciation across campus.
