Taking time to learn who you are outside of your studies is an important part of an enjoyable, well-rounded college experience. With more than 50 clubs and organizations to choose from, you’ll gain knowledge, awareness, confidence and leadership skills, while you make a difference alongside like-minded students.

Child Development Majors Club

Learn about child development and education through the experiences of club members, Colby-Sawyer professors and local education professionals.

Community Service Club

Make a difference through volunteer opportunities that enhance your academic experience including food, toy and coat drives, as well as service projects in public schools, the arts, pediatric and elder care, anti-hunger, historic preservation, and sustainability and the environment. The club has partnered with nonprofit organizations including American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics New Hampshire.

Cross Cultural Club

Join international and American students interested in learning from each other over ethnic dinners, off-campus cultural events and organizing campus activities, including the annual International Festival.

Model United Nations

Promote global peace and unity on campus and in the community with Colby-Sawyer’s chapter of the global UNICEF Action Program. Participate in lectures, trips and Model UN conferences to gain knowledge of global and local issues and to develop your negotiation and teamwork skills.

Feed the Freezer

Expand your knowledge of prevailing issues surrounding hunger and food waste and create solutions to address them. Recover surplus perishable food from the campus dining hall and surrounding communities to distribute to those in need.

History Club

Share your knowledge and interest in history with others in a friendly atmosphere that promotes history, social sciences and the humanities to the college community.

PRIDE

Support gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning students through awareness workshops, discussions and events. Partner with Colby-Sawyer administration to create safe and affirming environments through the LGBTQ Safe Zone sticker program.

Psychology Club

Meet with other students interested in psychology to discuss topics associated with the field and participate in activities.

Sociology Club

Discuss sociological findings and plan sociology-related events that generate awareness of local, national, and global social problems on campus and in the community.

Student Run Support Group

Help create a safe, substance-free environment through confidential student-to-student interaction. Provide support to fellow students with substance use issues and those seeking help for a peer struggling with substance abuse or substance use. Engage with other students in substance risk support group (similar to "Alcoholics Anonymous" or "Narcotics Anonymous") and through a substance awareness support group (similar to “Al-Anon”) to gain valuable information on substance abuse.

Women with Will

Promote culture, self-reflection and self-awareness among young women by working toward common goals such as graduation, engaging with different cultures and adapting to new environments.
