Colby-Sawyer College is looking for a new colleague to join the Department of Natural and Environmental Sciences. We seek an innovative, energetic educator to teach courses in geographic information systems, biogeochemistry, environmental science and community based research. Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level and a philosophy of education consonant with Colby-Sawyer’s programs and mission are required.
An ideal candidate will contribute to our field-based courses, engage undergraduate students in research specific to the candidate’s expertise, as well as mentor a broad range of environmental science research projects. Colby-Sawyer College is situated in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region of NH and has a number of sustainability initiatives on campus. The location and college commitment to environmental initiatives provide the opportunity for a wide array of applied teaching and research projects. In addition, all full-time faculty are expected to contribute to the college’s liberal education program.
This is a full time, 1-year visiting faculty position. A doctoral degree is required.
This position includes teaching and advising responsibilities. This position is available beginning late August 2018.
