A minor in film studies will help you gain a greater appreciation for the art of film. Study the technical, social, cultural and artistic dimensions of movies. Analyze how some films become a part of society’s collective consciousness. Learn how people, ideas and technology come together to tell a compelling story.
Create your own video projects. Shoot scenes with professional equipment and sequence them together in the editing suite. Debut your creative work at Windcrossing, Colby-Sawyer’s very own film festival.
Take advantage of Colby-Sawyer’s relationship with the Movies from Marlboro film-intensive study-away program. You’ll spend a semester learning stagecraft from experts at Marlboro College in Vermont and produce a full-length film.
