Cost by credit hour: $300 (cost for a 4 credit course is $1,200)

Students have three payment options – see options below to find a plan that meets your needs.

  1. Make a one-time tuition payment by session (credit card, direct bank transfer or e-check).

  2. Enroll in a monthly payment plan.

  3. Apply for financial aid (see below).

Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by completing the following steps:

  1. To complete a FAFSA, you must have an FSA ID. If you do not already have an FSA ID you may request one on the Federal Student Aid website:

  2. Complete your Free Application at and select "Start a New FAFSA" – you will need Colby-Sawyer's federal school code for the FAFSA: 002572.

  3. You will be notified by the Financial Aid Office at Colby-Sawyer AFTER you have submitted your online college application and the FAFSA.

  4. If you intend to accept any part of the loans, complete both the Online Counseling and sign the Online Master Promissory Note.

Financial Aid Deadlines

  • Spring 1017 Due: Jan 2, 2017 (2016-2017 FAFSA)

  • Fall 2016 due: March 1, 2016 (2016-2017 FAFSA)

Tax Verification

Your FAFSA application may be selected by the federal processor for a process called tax verification. If you are selected for tax verification, your financial aid award letter will list the required documents you will need to provide to the Financial Aid Office before your financial aid award can be finalized.
