A new generation of nursing and health sciences professionals committed to care.

The Janet Udall Schaefer ’52 Center for Health Sciences will expand and accelerate preparation of new healthcare workers and provide ladders for advancement for current healthcare workers. With new programs in-person and online, and a state-of-the-art facility for clinical training, more individuals of all ages will be equipped to meaningfully contribute to healthcare: from the first-generation student inspired by the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic, to the pediatric nurses earning a master’s degree in nursing education.

This expansion of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences will:
  • Create a vibrant center for academic and clinical training
  • Increase enrollment across nursing and health sciences programs
  • Launch new undergraduate, graduate, associate and doctorate degree programs in areas of critical need
  • Provide new routes into healthcare for individuals at all career stages
