Happy New Year!

I hope this e-mail finds you healthy and rested. I am sending this to you to let you know the testing plans for the safe return to campus so that you may plan accordingly. You will need to have two negative COVID-19 tests prior to the start of classes on Feb 1. Please read below for testing details. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or to bhcc@colby-sawyer.edu. Colby-Sawyer College Safe-Return Testing Dates

Testing will be an observed self-nasal PCR test administered by the college and processed by BROAD. 

All students will require two negative COVID-19 tests prior to Feb. 1 start of classes.

Test 1 must be between the dates of Jan. 11–24, and Test 2 must be within the dates of Jan. 25-Jan. 31.  

Testing at no charge will be offered on the lower level of the Ware Center on the following dates:

Initial Test  
  • Thursday, Jan. 14, 1-3 p.m.  Employees / Commuters / hybrid students*
  • Tuesday, Jan. 19, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.  All students
Second Test
  • Wednesday, Jan. 27, 11-2 p.m. Employees / Commuters / hybrid students*
  • Friday, Jan. 29, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. All students

*Commuters and hybrid students may come to test during employee or all student test dates, whichever is most convenient. Employees are requested to test at 1 of the 2 dates designated above.

Employees, commuters and hybrid students may elect to test at a non-CSC site of their choice. Colby-Sawyer College will not reimburse for testing done off-site. If a COVID-19 test is done elsewhere, employees are to send copy of negative test result to jen.deasy@colby-sawyer.edu, and commuter/hybrid students please send negative test result(s) to bhcc@colby-sawyer.edu All persons will receive a bracelet after testing (white to indicate test 1, blue to indicate last safe-return test).  Please see HR (employees) or Baird (students) to receive a bracelet if you are providing a negative test result from outside of the college. Thank you for participating in a safe return.

Please note – if you have had a positive COVID-19 result within the past 90 days, please contact HR (employees) or Baird (students) to sign a test-exemption for this period. You will be issued a bracelet in lieu of testing.
