Visitors, Guests & Travel Policy

Visitors to Colby-Sawyer College

All visitors and guests are required to adhere to all COVID-19 related policies.

General Public

Visitors and non-CSC student guests may enter the campus. If they are not vaccinated, they may not enter residence halls or college houses unless they have written authorization from the Department of Residential Education, which can be requested by emailing residential@colby-sawyer.edu. Please visit the Mask Protocols & Policies page for additional information.

Residential Guests

Non-student guests will be allowed in the residence halls and college houses after Sept. 6 as long as they are vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be required when the non-student guest completes the regular registration process with Campus Safety.

Hogan, Library and AIL Patrons

Patrons of Hogan, the library or Adventures in Learning will be required to show proof of vaccination.

Vendors

Contracted vendors from outside the college who must enter college facilities to complete scheduled work must check in with Campus Safety upon arrival to campus to show proof of vaccination. Campus Safety will issue vaccinated vendors a “fast pass” with a green checkmark, which verifies that they are cleared to be unmasked in campus facilities. Vendors who are unvaccinated must remain masked at all times when inside campus facilities.

UVAC Participants

Participants and guests with Upper Valley Aquatic Club activities at the Hogan Sports Center who are 12 and over must show proof of vaccination. UVAC participants and guests under 12 are required to wear masks.

Dining Hall Use

Faculty, staff and students with approved vaccine exemptions and vaccinated Admissions tour guests are permitted to eat in the dining hall and the Lodge and must wear masks when they are not actively eating or drinking. Other patrons, guests or visitors who use the dining room or Lodge will be required to show proof of vaccination.

If they are asymptomatic and have a negative PCR test on or after day 7 of quarantining, they may shorten or end their quarantine. Individuals who are fully vaccinated are not required to quarantine following international or cruise-ship travel.

Students who develop COVID-19-related symptoms during or after travel must not return to campus and should notify their primary care provider. Students who return to campus after traveling and develop symptoms while on campus should report them to the Baird Health and Counseling Center to discuss next steps.
