Live with a deep sense of purpose as an elementary school teacher — guiding and motivating children by creating meaningful educational experiences.
While other postgraduate teacher certification programs require at least an additional year of full-time study following the undergraduate degree, Colby-Sawyer’s accelerated program allows you to earn your Colby-Sawyer bachelor’s degree in just 3.5 carefully-planned years. Then, after a half-year of graduate work at UVEI, you can qualify for a NH teaching license.
Combine courses in child development with an education program focused on learning theory, curriculum planning, teaching methods and classroom management. Apply your learning during supervised, full-time classroom internship experiences with skilled teachers who will guide, support, and mentor you.
With an impressive resume that combines advanced learning with full-time classroom experience, you’ll have an edge during the hiring process. School districts want freshly certified teachers who also have practical experience — and that’s exactly what you’ll bring to the table.
Colby-Sawyer proudly partners with Upper Valley Educators Institute, a highly respected organization with more than 50 years of experience helping to prepare knowledgeable and passionate educators.
