Colby-Sawyer seeks an innovative, energetic educator to teach courses in Graphic Design & Digital Media for both B.F.A. and B.A. in graphic design students, as well as students from other majors. We are looking for a candidate with a broad skill set in order to teach a diverse range of most (but not all) of the following courses: Design & Digital Media Foundations, Visual Communication, Typography, Information Design, Interactive Design, Motion Design, Identity System Design, Design Methodologies, Professional Practices & Portfolio, and/or Gallery & Portfolio Presentation. This is a full-time, visiting assistant professor position, beginning August 2020 and renewable for four years.
- An M.F.A. (or other relevant terminal degree) is required, as is an exemplary design portfolio and demonstrated expertise in multiple teaching areas listed above
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- This position includes teaching, advising, college service responsibilities and ongoing scholarship.
- All full-time faculty are expected to contribute to the college’s liberal education program.
