Lindsey M. Thompson, Assistant Professor of Nursing, joined Colby-Sawyer College (CSC) as an adjunct faculty member in 2018 and transitioned to full-time in 2021. She has a robust background in clinical bedside nursing, with experience spanning all adult inpatient populations.
Before working at CSC, Professor Thompson served on the Adult Critical Care Staffing Resource Team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She worked in all Adult Intensive Care and Progressive Care Units at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, including the: Medical Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Critical Care Unit, Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit, Intermediate Specialty Care Unit, Neuro Specialty Care Unit, and Cardiac Specialty Care Unit. Professor Thompson also served as a resource to the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit, Medical Units, and Surgical Units when patients required higher levels of nursing care.
Professor Thompson teaches multiple clinical rotations within the CSC Nursing Program for sophomore, junior, senior, and ABSN students. She also teaches Fundamentals of Nursing lecture and lab for the ABSN program.
