Colby-Sawyer Singers to Perform 'A Cinematic Celebration'

NEW LONDON, N.H., Nov. 17, 2011 – The Colby-Sawyer Singers will present “A Cinematic Celebration” for its annual winter concert in an evening of music from holiday movies past and present.

The public is invited to attend this festive holiday performance, which will take place at the Sawyer Center Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased here. Please call the Sawyer Center Box Office at (603) 526-3670 for more information

“A Cinematic Celebration” will feature holiday songs from favorite movies such as “Frosty the Snowman,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Home Alone,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “The Muppets Christmas Carol” and “The Polar Express.” Middle schooler Cope Makechnie of Andover, N. H., will perform "Walking In The Air" from The Snowman.

Fine and Performing Arts Adjunct Assistant Professor Susan Cancio-Bello is the director of the Colby-Sawyer Singers with Jean Liepold providing accompaniment. The CSC Singers includes the following members of the college and local communities: Sopranos Linda Barnes, Wally Borgen, Zhou Dong, Ryan Foley, Annalisa Giglio, Anh Nguyen, Deborah Reed, Ashley Reynolds, Pam Sanborn, Kate Staiger and Evan Wilson; altos Domonique Berry-Huffman, Lauri Baudanza, Meghan Hardiman, Leah Hodder-Romano, Nina Rogers, Linda A. Lambert and Karrie Wessing; tenors Nicole Berthiaume, Connor Delaney, Carol Foss, Greg Johnson, Chris McCarthy, Cory Schofield, Cally White and Jeramey Winfield; and basses Tim Axelson, Willie J. Bacote, Jay Lambert, Anthony Salvatoriello, Michael Warning.
