Colby-Sawyer Hosts Acclaimed Guitarist Calum Graham

Singer, songwriter and acclaimed guitarist Calum Graham performs at Colby-Sawyer College on Wednesday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in Wheeler Hall located in the Ware Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Graham, 22, is a self-taught guitar prodigy who emerged into the Canadian music scene at age 13. He won the Song for Canada songwriting competition in 2011, the Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2010, and the Calgary Stampede Talent Search and the Canadian Youth Talent competition in 2009. Graham has performed his impeccable guitar skills, recognizable sound, and rhythmic abilities for audiences including the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London and the Canadian Guitar Festival.

Signing with U.S. guitar label CandyRat Records in 2013, Graham is working on content for his next solo album as well as a full-band compilation showcasing him on both lead vocals and electric guitar. Graham's Colby-Sawyer debut features music from his current album “Phoenix Rising,” recognized with five stars by Guitar Player Magazine.
