Established in 2006, the Colby-Sawyer Athletic Hall of Fame celebrates the accomplishments of Colby-Sawyer athletes, coaches, teams and supporters who have advanced the college’s commitment to excellence.

Cailin Bullett is one of the best point guards in women’s basketball program history. She is the only player with at least 1000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists. Cailin is the all-time leader in career assists with 583 and holds the top two single-season assist totals with 197 and 177. She ranked in the top-6 in the nation in assists per game in her final three seasons. Cailin had the ability to find her teammates anywhere on the floor, but was also a threat to score. She shot 43% from the floor and is ranked sixth in career points with 1257. She ranks second in career free throws with 335 and has the third and fourth most made in a season with 118 and 111.

The two-time team captain, was named to three all-conference teams, including a nod to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) First Team in her final season in which she helped the Chargers to their first NAC title.

In addition to her on-court accolades, Cailin excelled in the classroom. She earned distinction with the Wesson Honors Program, Sawyer Fellowship Award, Wynne Jesser McGrew Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, and the Squires Award for Academic Excellence. She also collected three conference all-academic honors.

Her successful career in the gym and the classroom culminated by being named the 2012-13 NAC Woman of the Year award; the first Colby-Sawyer student-athlete to be honored.

Shawn Dunstan turned in one of the most impressive careers on snow in men’s alpine ski program history. He has the distinction as the only male student-athlete to have earned the Charger Award for Outstanding Male Athlete three times.

His illustrious career began in grand fashion as he helped the Chargers win the 2009 United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) Combined National Championship. Shawn earned USCSA All-American status in the slalom.

His next two year’s would be even more impressive as he competed in two-straight U.S. Alpine National Championships after being the top male American to finish at the USCSA National Championships. Shawn added six more All-American honors in those two years along with countless race victories, an Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference (ECSC) Combined Regional title and a shared title.

As the Colby-Sawyer ski program transitioned from the USCSA to the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA), in Shawn’s final season, he continued to show that he is one of the best skiers to ever don the Colby-Sawyer uniform. Shawn's impressive season earned him a spot at the NCAA National Championships, which is an extremely exclusive championship with only 35 male student-athletes nationwide earning the right to race and is made up of mostly Division I and scholarship athletes. He is one of three Colby-Sawyer student-athletes to have competed at NCAA’s.

Allyson Le-Bruno is arguably the best libero to have played volleyball at Colby-Sawyer. Her numbers back it up as she holds numerous career and single season records. She is the all-time leader in digs with 2577 and digs per set at 5.49. The 2577 digs is also a New England Women’s Volleyball Association (NEWVA) record. In addition, Allyson is the single-season record-holder in digs with 768 and has four of the top nine totals. Her 6.24 digs per set in 2010 is a record and 6.02 in 2011 is second best. Those two marks ranked her 12th and 15th in the nation for those years, respectively. Allyson also holds the record for most digs in a match with 44, which is also the most in a four-set match. She also collected 30 digs in three sets for a record. She also ranks fifth all-time in aces with 230.

Allyson is the only four-time conference Libero/Defensive Player of the Year in program history. In her first season, she was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Libero of the Year, CCC First Team and to the NEWVA All-New England Rookie Team. As a sophomore, she earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Defensive Player of the Year, ECAC New England All-Star First Team, NAC Defensive Player of the Year, NAC First Team, American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-New England Honorable Mention and NEWVA All-New England Third Team accolades. In her final two seasons, Allyson was twice named NAC Defensive Player of the Year and twice a NAC First Team honoree.

Allyson helped lead the Chargers to three NAC championships and subsequent NCAA Tournament appearances. The Chargers were 28-2 in conference matches and 80-55 overall during Allyson’s playing career.

Danielle Shannon is the first three-time recipient of the Charger Award for Outstanding Female Athlete. She is undoubtedly the most successful alpine skier in program history and her accolades are a confirmation of an illustrious career.

Danielle collected a perfect 12 counts of United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) All-American honors, was the 2009 USCSA Giant Slalom National Champion, and the 2011 Individual Combined National Champion. She finished as the top American at the USCSA Nationals three times, which resulted in three trips to the U.S. Alpine National Championships.

Danielle dominated the MacConnell division by winning 13 races and added a few second-place finishes as well. She led the team to a pair of MacConnell Division titles and was a two-time MacConnell Division Individual Champion.

Danielle was also instrumental in helping the Chargers to three Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference (ECSC) Combined titles. She came away with multiple regional podiums throughout her career and garnered 11 ECSC All-Region honors. In her first season, Danielle aided the team to its best USCSA team finish of second in the giant slalom, slalom and combined. She also earned four Academic All-American awards and was a three-time team MVP.

Jennifer LaChance Taylor was an integral member of the 2009-10 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Team that made the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She collected 107 career wins with 53 coming in singles and 54 in doubles. She ranks t-5th in total wins, fifth in singles and eighth in doubles. Jennifer’s accomplishments are more impressive as she played primarily at the #1 or #2 singles flight and the #1 doubles spot, which means she always played against the opposition’s best.

An inspiration to her teammates, Jennifer worked just as hard in practice as she did on game day. The perseverance paid off for Jennifer as she was named to the CCC Singles Second Team three times, the CCC Doubles First Team three times, the CCC Doubles Second Team once and the CCC Singles Honorable Mention Team once.

During Jennifer’s career, the Chargers went 59-13 overall and a posted a 36-4 conference record. She then contributed to the program as an assistant coach for seven years and the team won five conference titles in that span.

Jennifer was also successful in the classroom, resulting in a Nursing degree, and was twice named to the CCC All-Academic Team.
