Redirecting Our Campus Towards Environmental Sustainability
Green ROUTES was developed by nine Colby-Sawyer College students in CES 301/302: Community-Based Research Project I & II during the 2006-2007 academic year. The group was advised by John Callewaert, Director of the Institute for Community and Environment; Laura Alexander, Assistant Professor of Natural Sciences and CES; and Ben Steele, Chair of the Natural Sciences Department. The group also collaborated with Leon-C. Malan, Chair of the Business Administration Department and students in his fall 2006 class CES/BUS 321: Organizations and Their Environment. The overall goal of Green ROUTES is to raise awareness of environmental issues on campus and create a plan to ensure sustainability on campus for years to come.
