Colby-Sawyer College Landscape Management Research
In order to address the need for a landscape management plan at Colby-Sawyer College, the 2015-2016 Community-based Research class took on the task of developing a comprehensive landscape management document for the campus. This document is meant to assist in decision-making related to ongoing maintenance and development of the landscape in ways that promote the ideals of the college, the needs of stakeholders, and general sustainability on campus. The plan includes general design suggestions as well as specific area designs for sections of campus with high potential for changes to the existing landscape. A phasing outline and a cost-benefit analysis are also included to assist in prioritizing implementation for these design suggestions.
