Maureen Sroczynski joined Colby-Sawyer as assistant faculty and coordinator of scholarly projects in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2023. Her position is fully remote. In 2000, after over 30 years’ experience in nursing and senior health care organizational leadership across Rhode Island, Vermont and Massachusetts, Dr. Sroczynski opened a management consulting company focusing on leadership effectiveness, organizational communication, organization effectiveness and education redesign that serves healthcare organizations, nursing education institutions and governmental agencies across the country. In this role, she acted as chief nursing consultant for the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education and facilitated the development of a set of competencies for all nurses of the future that serves a framework for competency-based curriculum and transition into practice models nationwide. She was also a nurse expert for the Center to Champion Nursing in America, a collaboration of AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and helped design models to advance a seamless progression in nursing education programs and convene multi-stakeholder groups for successful grant development and the creation of new approaches to community health issues. She is currently serving as an executive coach for several senior nursing leaders.
