Paul joined the faculty in 2023, after over 30 years as an entrepreneur. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and an M.S. in artificial intelligence from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Paul has extensive experience in starting, growing and selling small businesses. He's worked with companies including Optas, JogNog, SoundFest, Semantx, WEGO Health and Energy Bazaar, as well as teaching at Boston University since 2008. As a Certified Privacy Professional, he has written and spoken about how to balance corporate needs with personal privacy. In his personal life, Paul enjoys travel, hiking, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing with his wife.
