The Davidow Challenge

As part of their $10.2 million gift made to the college in January 2021, Bill and Sonja Carlson Davidow ’56 established “The Davidow Challenge” to encourage donors to establish and contribute to endowed scholarship funds. $2 million of their gift has been set aside to match gifts made to endowed scholarship funds.

Bill and Sonja Carlson Davidow ‘56 have committed $2 million to help Colby-Sawyer address the college’s most critical need: support for student scholarships and financial aid.

Join the Davidow Challenge!

The Davidow Scholarship Challenge will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for gifts made to endowed scholarship funds, doubling the value of every gift!

How do Endowed Scholarships Work?

Once established, an endowed scholarship fund produces income every year to support educational expenses for students now and for generations to come.

Meeting a Critical need

Each year, Colby-Sawyer grants more than $25 million in scholarship support to students, with an average award of over $28,800. Increasing endowed scholarship support allows the college to attract high-achieving students and to remain competitive in the admissions marketplace.
