Student Transportation

Colby-Sawyer’s Student Development Department offers limited, complimentary student transportation assistance upon one-week, advance request only via email to the Student Development Program Manager (studentdev@colby-sawyer.edu). Colby-Sawyer does not have a regular running shuttle service or immediate upon demand ride service, and we cannot guarantee all travel requests, as we have limited college vehicles and certified drivers available who also travel off-campus during school breaks. Certified drivers are available between the hours of 7:30AM and 9:30PM and may not drive students to the 3:55AM or 5:35AM buses, as they are outside of our hours of availability. Please plan to leave the evening before for an early morning flight out of Boston Logan. CSC certified drivers can drive students to (and from) the Manchester Airport, the Dartmouth Coach bus stop in New London, off-campus appointments, shopping areas, and Mount Sunapee. Other locations may be considered if a driver and vehicle are available and requests are made at least a week in advance for scheduling purposes.

The Dartmouth Coach bus service is the only local public transportation service in our immediate area. Dartmouth Coach bus service (https://dartmouthcoach.com/stop/new-london-nh/ )transports students to Boston Logan Airport and to Boston’s South Station for access to additional busses and train services. The Dartmouth Coach does not have a reservation system, and ticketed passengers may be bumped from their intended bus of choice, so it is highly recommended that students take an earlier bus as a buffer in case they have to wait for the next bus and have a flight to catch at Logan, for example. Certified drivers do not drive to Boston Logan Airport, only Manchester Airport in NH. Students may have to wait outdoors for the next bus, as there is not a station, so dressing appropriately is necessary. Dartmouth Coach information and tickets are available at www.dartmouthcoach.com (800-637-0123). Tickets must be purchased online.

Any additional questions may be directed to Student Development, at studentdev@colby-sawyer.edu. Be sure to include all the dates and times of travel in a travel assistance request. Return rides to campus must be made prior to leaving campus during school breaks, as offices also close during most school breaks. Emails are generally received between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday and are not read over the weekends.
