Shepard Hall

Shepard Hall residents love to get out and do things, but they enjoy the comfort of the building, which has a strong sense of community. Shepard houses returning students.

Features

The ground and second floors of Shepard are mixed gender by room. The first and third floors are all female. The kitchen and laundry facilities are located on the ground floor.

Staffing

Shepard has an Area Coordinator who resides in Rooke. Two Resident Assistants oversee the day-to-day life of the hall.

History

The Shepards were one of the original families to settle in New London. James Ely Shepard was an active trustee during the early days of the Academy and his son, Charles E. Shepard, served as a trustee for 20 years. He also operated the stage coach service between New London and Potter Place.
